 Utah Interstates

There are three important major interstates in Utah. Interstate 15 runs north and south through the center of the state and Interstate 80 runs east and west, near Salt Lake City. Interstate 70 ends in central Utah, near Cove Fort and runs all the way to Maryland.

 Major Utah Cities

Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City is not only the capital city of Utah, but the largest city in the state as well. Salt Lake City is easier to get around in than other large cities throughout the United States because of its wide streets, street numbering system, and convenient public transportation system.


West Valley City
West Valley is a suburb of Salt Lake. Bangerter Highway, an expressway, runs through West Valley, and is a good route for truck drivers who are delivering along the west side of the Salt Lake Valley.

Provo
Located in Utah County (about 45 miles south of Salt Lake City), Provo is home to Brigham Young University (BYU). It is also one of the larger metropolitan areas located along the Wasatch Mountain Range.  

Ogden
Ogden is located in northern Utah, between Salt Lake City and Brigham City.  It is the largest metro area to the north of Salt Lake City, located also along the northern tip of the Wasatch Mountains.

St. George
Located in southern Utah, the city of St. George is southwest of the world famous Zion National Park. The area is known for its beautiful scenery and mild temperatures during the colder months. St. George is near the Arizona and Nevada borders.

Most of Utah's population is within 30 miles of I-15. The southeast area of Utah is connected to the rest of the state by I-70, which runs from south-central Utah to the Colorado border and beyond.
